haste dopple rising star trick down use 1 yamato hit and immediately use rapid slash then imediately use stinger trick up and immediately cancel it and use 1 aerial rave hit, and use aerial cleave then void slash with a summon sword, u either use it immediately after the bounce effect from cleave or as the enemy is around the same altitude as you trick down and call the dopple back use million stab and trick down cancel, then use high time 2 and trick down cancel that as well drive and hold that, then use round trip by releasing it once it glows, use 1 summon sword to keep them midair if u need

@@Zavouk Oh I definitely have some form of OCD, at least when it comes to DMC combos, which is funny considering I'm usually really sloppy when it comes to other things lol. And yeah with Dante it'd be WAY harder because of all the weapons and styles, but there is an option in the trainer that allows you to hide the hud, but keep the weapon list thingy, so you know what weapon you're switching to

Judgment Cut End is amazing, but I never found the actual JC to be that cool. It's just a circular projectile. The concept is cool, don't get me wrong, it's just that the attack itself never really hyped me up as much as it did others

My question is: is this supposed to be where you find the fun in this game? Doing a long combo on one enemy that would have died a fraction of the way in? What is the normal way to play?
Basically, I think of DMC as 3 different games: The first game is where you play the missions and bloody palace, having fun and beating enemies around. You can style on them, you don't have to, you can do whatever you want, as long as you're having fun. Personally I found that spamming the same two moves over and over is simply not fun for me, even though that's how most people play this game unfortunately. I can't have fun in a game until I reach a level where I'm above average. When I started this game, I was really bad and I was disappointed. Not in the game, but my own lack of skill. I knew what this game was capable of, I knew the depth of the mechanics and I also knew I wasn't utilizing even 2% of that, so I hit the lab and started practicing, and after that I started having fun. But that's just me. Most people who play this game are below average, but they still have fun, even if it means getting their asses handed to them. The second game is boss fights. Boss fights are different from regular missions, because you have no damage runs, ways to style, there's a channel called Koudai. This guy basically turns every boss fight into a work of art, he knows how every move works, he knows every attack pattern, and he always does something insanely creative that leaves me shocked. The third game is combos. This is basically practice mode, and this is where you get to utilize the full extent of the game's mechanics. A combo can be anything, a random string of attacks, a complex string of attacks, doesn't matter. From May to October 2022 I replicated around 23 combos from advanced players, and this year I've replicated a few more combos from advanced players and reworked my older combos. Replicating combos is not "fun" to me. It's challenging, especially when I know I can do it, and the reward I feel when I finally do a combo successfully after hours of trying is unmatched, but the process itself is pretty agonizing. And that's just replicating combos, I can't imagine how difficult it must be for the people who actually CREATE combos from scratch. That must take an insane level of creativity. Still, even tho it's agonizing, there's something that motivates me to keep going. I guess it's because I have an insane appreciation of the game's mechanical complexity, that's my reason for doing combos. Watching DMC combo videos is like ASMR to me. Anyway, fun is subjective. If this game wasn't appealing to me, I would've never gotten better at it. I mean you could argue that there's no point in getting better at a singleplayer game, but to each their own. DMC 5 has 3 characters (not counting V, he's terrible), and each character is complex in their own way. They're all instruments basically, and the possibilities are endless. You could even argue that it's a different game with each character. The game doesn't force you to play any kind of way. It's all up to you. I've always preferred games that make you feel like a god and let you be a complete and total badass like Prototype, Doom, DMC, etc. Games that don't restrict you in any way, and give you the full freedom to do whatever you want. Games that are accessible, but have a learning curve to them and are ultimately not at all easy to master. The main reason I became so obsessed with this game was because of the powerups. It's so edgy and so anime, the weapons, the animations, the transformations, ultimate attacks, it just hit every spot for me, and that was enough of an incentive for me to start pursuing a higher level of skill. I could never get into the souls games for example. I know they're incredible games and masterpieces, don't get me wrong, but I simply never liked them. I only played Sekiro and I felt like it was too restrictive and boring, the concept simply isn't appealing to me. Ofc you can simply say "git gud", but I never really had an incentive to get good at these games because they weren't appealing to me. Not the characters, nor the story, nor the world, nor the powerups, nothing. It's the same with 2D fighting games. They never gave me the liberty I desired and ultimately boiled down to memorizing combo strings and moving a few steps to the left and a few steps to the right. I know there's WAYYYY more to these games, but that's simply not my kind of fun, even though I can totally see how it can be really fun for someone else. I hope this answered your question. I don't really know if there is a "normal" way to play, because the possibilities in this game are endless. You make your own playstyle and if you're having fun, then I guess that's all that matters. But combo making (which is what I did in this video) and playing through missions/bloody palace/bosses are two completely different things. The game rewards style, but it doesn't punish you if you don't wanna style and do crazy stuff on enemies.
@@PECULIAR773 Yep great answer. . i play fighting games extensively and the combos definitely appeal to me but i think i would mostly participate in the first 2 versions of the game as you put it. But i want to be able to feel versatile and skillful while doing it and not spammy like most people seem to be. I might download it again and see if i can up my game.

I couldn't stop talking about the game to my friend so he felt the need to download it and try it out himself, but he didn't rly have fun because he didn't really know what to do, and the game doesn't exactly tell you what to do. And that's completely fair and valid. The main reason why I'm doing these combo analyses (aside from showing off the game's complexity), is that there aren't a lot of guides and tutorials on combos in general for this game. Most people just.... somehow get good, usually by watching other advanced players and their combo videos or their boss fights, but you kinda gotta know how to find these videos, because some of them are pretty obscure and don't get a lot of views, which is a damn shame. I'm sure you're familiar with the infamous "I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROACHING" combo that has over 17 million views at this point. The funny thing about that combo is that it's actually insanely easy to do, and most people get the impression that this combo is the PINNACLE of DMC, which is a major misconception. It's the same with Vergil's doppelganger mechanic. I was literally baffled when I saw that there wasn't a SINGLE guide or tutorial video online about how to use this behemoth of a mechanic, so I had to take it upon myself to make one, after I started studying combos and looking at the players' controls when they were using the doppelganger. I really wish this community had more guides/tutorials to help newcomers, because I see no reason as to why you should gatekeep sth like that. But anyway, that's just combos. Having fun in this game isn't rly all that difficult. There's a guy called Conqvist Guides, he made some weapon guides that are pretty beginner friendly, but I don't even think you'll need those tbh. It's all up to you at the end of the day. I hope you'll get to enjoy the game somewhat if you decide to start playing.

Nah, that stuff's still the same, and it hardly even matters because the new voices sound awful as well, so what's the point of fixing the old voices when the new ones sound like AI as well. what's the background mod?
It's called void mods Torment V. You have 3 files you can download. Spardas (where I did the Torment combo, it's in front of Dante and Vergil's childhood home), Hell (basically the underworld full of blood, it's where I did the hell combo) and Tyrant (this stage).
when do it become easy :) ?
I mean it's pretty easy from start to finish, at least compared to most of my other combos. Trust me, it ain't hard, I'm sure you could do it with some practice. Most DMC players are very easily intimidated by combos, they'll see anything that resembles a combo and go "YOOO HOW DID YOU DO THAT THAT'S INSANE", but in reality the combo is usually pretty simple. Once you've practiced enough and built up speed, you'll be able to do even the most advanced combos. A friend of mine only recently picked up the game and he's already replicating combos without much issue. I mean I'm doing all this on a mouse and keyboard, which probably isn't the most optimal way to play this game lol, so you should have an even easier time on a controller. But like I said, don't worry too much about it, if you just spare some time to practice, you'll find that a lot of these things are just stringing together moves. Once you're familiar with Vergil's moveset and once you've built up enough speed to consistently chain these moves together, you'll be able to do most combos. It all boils down to muscle memory at the end of the day. (I pretty much copy/pasted this from another one of my comments I left to someone who asked a similar question LMAO)

also you can maybe extend the combo with the clone and the naptime(facing the enemy) then with clone using "forward + Y hold(mlee hold)" then backstep then perfect judgement cut and you can continue like that if you want

@@wendellaguiar_ Yeah I know, tho it wouldn't be the first time Matsuyama said "this is the last storm game". But if it really is as he says, then we'd better get long term support and TONS of DLCs. Shinobi Striker, Xenoverse 2 and so many other games have been getting support for 6-8 years now. They still owe us A TON of characters. Adult Konohamaru and Code are nobrainers, if there's a season 2 I'm almost certain they'll be in. But I wanna see Toneri, Chojuro and Kurotsuchi (they're kage ffs and they should've been playable back in s3), Anko, Shin, Shinki, etc. Also I'd LOVE to play as timeskip Boruto because he would have the coolest moveset ever, but they can't give us two blue vortex characters until they've adapted it in the anime. It would be a tragedy if this game stopped getting support until we've gotten all the most relevant Boruto characters. It's the only thing that can save this game.
@@PECULIAR773 this time I believe it really is the last game, they said the same in storm 4 but it was a huge success and it kind of made sense to continue. but so far storm connections have failed like never seen before so I don't believe we have a new storm title. but I agree with everything else, they should release 3 CHARACTERS at a time instead of ONE since there are so many requests and so many characters are missing... but yeah, I don't think they will add TBV content.
@@wendellaguiar_ I'm coping really hard by telling myself "hey I mean Xenoverse 2 came out in 2016 and it's still getting DLCs to this day, same with Shinobi Striker that came out in 2018", and they also made a separate twitter account where we can leave our requests in the comments and there are over 800 comments of people asking for characters and stages. I hope that at the very least they can give us the characters we've always wanted, and who knows maybe 5-6 years from now when Two Blue Vortex gets an anime adaptation we might even see that in the game (ULTIMATE COPE). Remember how Storm 4 came out in 2016 and we got the Momoshiki and Kinshiki DLC in 2020, 4 years later. Maybe we shouldn't lose hope lol
@@PECULIAR773 YES, I remember that because of a bug on PSN I got these DLC + Boruto costumes for free 😭 I heard about this new account! I think I already left 3 comments asking to add the last, road to ninja and mission uniform (boruto) costumes for Ino (I also typed new movesets for Konoha 12 + Sai which have been the same since Storm 2, but I know this is impossible lol) so this time I hope they really listen to the fans, like when they added the sound quartet in storm 4. And about lasting years like Shinobi Striker and XenoVerse, GOD HEAR YOU PLEASE! 🙌
@@wendellaguiar_ I also left a BUNCH of comments on that post, I basically made a thread LMAO. We also need new stages like the Isshiki dimension, Jigen dimension, the dimension where Koji fought Jigen/Isshiki, the forest where Borushiki, Kawashiki and Code fought, the Kawaki vs Garou stage, the Moon stage from The Last, the hospital rooftop, etc. And yeah we desperately need new movesets for the konoha 11 and most storm 2 characters tbh. It's a travesty how Itachi, Kisame, Pain, Jiraiya, Tsunade and Orochimaru still have their 2010 movesets. That's just LUDICROUS, but unfortunately I don't think it's in the cards, because they already have too many ACTUAL NEW characters they owe us. But here's hoping this game gets long term support for years to come.
